Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting lineup of upcoming content for Crusader Kings III throughout 2025, bundled as Chapter IV. This chapter focuses on expanding the game into Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to dive into.

The rollout begins with the recently released cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This elegant pack enhances player customization with six new crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing for a more personalized ruler experience.

On April 28, players can look forward to the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe. This expansion lets players take on the role of the Great Khan, leading a nomadic Mongol horde to conquer and dominate surrounding territories. It's a thrilling opportunity to experience the might and mobility of the steppes.

Following this, Coronations will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic in Q3 (July–September). Players will be able to solidify their rule through grand coronation events, which include hosting lavish celebrations, making solemn vows, and shaping the future of their kingdom. This DLC will also enrich political dynamics with new advisor and vassal events, adding depth to royal succession strategies.

The chapter culminates with the release of All Under Heaven later in the year. This expansive DLC will introduce the entire East Asian map, featuring detailed representations of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore and conquer, significantly expanding the game's scope.

In addition to these DLCs, Paradox Interactive plans to release patches between major content drops to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26. This ongoing dialogue ensures that Crusader Kings III continues to evolve in line with the community's wishes.
