Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based in the Forgotten Realms, according to Deadline. The project is spearheaded by Shawn Levy (director of Deadpool and The Adam Project), with Drew Crevello (WeCrashed) serving as writer and showrunner. This marks a significant investment for Netflix in the fantasy genre, potentially launching a larger D&D universe on the platform. Following lengthy negotiations, the series is reportedly moving forward into development. While Netflix and Hasbro have yet to comment officially, the pilot script is reportedly complete.
