EA Shuts Down Simpsons: Tapped Out

EA's The Simpsons: Tapped Out, the beloved city-building mobile game, is celebrating its twelfth anniversary this year—but sadly, the celebration is bittersweet. After a decade of fun, EA has announced the game's sunset.

When's the Shutdown?

In-app purchases are already unavailable in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. However, you can continue playing until January 24th, 2025, when the servers officially shut down. EA expressed gratitude to players for their support over the years, highlighting the successful partnership with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company.

One Last Springfield Adventure?

If you haven't experienced the joy of rebuilding Springfield, now's your chance! In this freemium game, you take the reins after Homer's disastrous meltdown, piecing together the town brick by brick. From guiding Homer's chaotic rebuilding efforts to managing the antics of Marge, Lisa, and Bart, you'll craft your own unique Springfield. Interact with iconic characters like Fat Tony, dress Bart as Daredevil, expand to Springfield Heights, and even run Apu's Kwik-E-Mart.

The game frequently released updates tied to The Simpsons storylines and real-world holidays, adding to the charm. While the game itself is free, donuts serve as the in-game currency to fuel your Springfield expansion.

Download The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the Google Play Store before it's gone! And be sure to check out our article on eBaseball: MLB Pro Spirit, a new mobile game launching this fall!
