A new evil ending has been revealed in Baldur's Gate

Baldur's Gate 3 is brimming with secrets, and Larian Studios' masterpiece continues to unveil its mysteries. Dataminers have unearthed numerous hidden aspects, including a particularly intriguing ending.

This dark ending, recently rediscovered during testing of the eighth major patch, allows the protagonist to forcefully remove and destroy the illithid parasite without harm. A subsequent choice then arises: depart with companions, or leave them behind.

Many believe the eighth patch will fully implement this alternate ending.

Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled conversations about the gaming industry's health. In contrast, Larian Studios' publishing director, Michael Daus, remains active on social media, addressing these layoffs. He emphasizes the importance of valuing employees and argues that leadership, not rank-and-file workers, should bear the brunt of restructuring: Layoffs of large portions of development teams between or after projects are unnecessary. Maintaining institutional knowledge is crucial for future success.
