Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!
Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign, running until February 6th, 2025, allows eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
The campaign, which began January 9th, 2025, offers a fantastic opportunity to revisit the world of FFXIV, especially following the recent release of Patch 7.15. This patch introduced new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the highly anticipated return of the Hildibrand quests and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message further fueled anticipation, confirming the arrival of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates and a cryptic hint regarding Dawntrail's storyline progression.
Eligibility for the Free Login Campaign requires a previously purchased and registered FFXIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible. Players can verify their eligibility status through the Mog Station.
While enjoying the free playtime, players can also participate in the ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th), earning a unique minion reward, and anticipate the release of Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. This provides returning players with ample content to catch up on before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The 96-hour free play timer begins upon logging into the game launcher.
