Hearthstone Reveals StarCraft Mini-Set Details and Release Date

Hearthstone's massive Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, boasting a record-breaking 49 new cards, launches January 21st. This expansion, revealed during the November 13th, 2024 Warcraft Direct, marks a significant crossover between Hearthstone and StarCraft.

The Mini-Set introduces class-specific and multi-class StarCraft faction cards. Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock players gain access to Zerg-themed cards focused on swarming Zerglings and leveraging Hydralisks. Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue players will utilize Protoss cards centered around mana manipulation and powerful card plays. Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior players receive new Starship-related cards, expanding upon mechanics introduced in The Great Dark Beyond. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the lineup. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.

Purchasing options include a full Mini-Set for $20 (or 2500 gold), a full Golden version for $80 (or 12,000 gold), or individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) for $10 (or 1200 gold) each. These prices reflect the Mini-Set's increased size compared to previous releases.

To celebrate, Hearthstone will host two streamed events:

  • StarCast (January 23rd, 10 AM PST): Featuring StarCraft legends TrumpSC and Day9 showcasing the new cards.
  • HearthCraft (January 24th, 9 AM PST): Featuring Hearthstone community creators representing each StarCraft faction in competitive matches and mini-games.

Viewers of these Twitch streams will receive two standard and two Golden The Great Dark Beyond packs. Don't miss out on this exciting crossover and the chance to earn free cards!
