Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: 2025 is shaping up to be a thrilling year filled with exciting surprises, fresh gameplay mechanics, and brand-new features. Get ready for the usual triple treat of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons! The overwhelmingly positive response to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly fueled Blizzard's enthusiasm, leading to an action-packed roadmap for the year ahead.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

One of the most significant updates is the long-awaited Arena overhaul. In development since last year, this refresh promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players alike.

Cosmetics are also getting a major boost! Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with an entirely new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics are still under wraps.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the launch of the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals start next week, but the in-game celebration has already begun! Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

What Else Can We Expect?

A new evolving game board is launching alongside the expansion. The Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each subsequent expansion.

Finally, the Core Set is also receiving a significant refresh. Classic cards are making a return, albeit with some exciting tweaks, and brand-new cards are being added to the mix. With so much on the horizon, now might be the perfect time to jump back into the action! Download Hearthstone from the Google Play Store if you haven't already.
