It Takes Two became one of 2021's most celebrated games. Created by Hazelight Studios, this award-winning title claimed "Game of the Year" at The Game Awards and surpassed 20 million global sales. Its creative co-op mechanics and heartfelt storytelling resonated with players worldwide.

Given this phenomenal reception, enthusiasts naturally speculated about sequel possibilities. Yet Hazelight maintains their philosophy of pursuing original concepts rather than sequels. Studio head Josef Fares recently shared that if forced to revisit any past project, It Takes Two would be his choice, remarking:

The future remains unwritten—we should never rule anything out.

While no sequel is currently in development, Hazelight's team is fully engaged with their next release, Split Fiction. Nevertheless, Fares' statements have kept fan hopes alive for another cooperative adventure. Though concrete information is limited, persistent enthusiasm suggests audiences will remain attentive for any official updates from the studio.
