What's the Story of Eldgear?
Argenia, a land teeming with unexplored territories and diverse nations, finds itself at a crossroads. The discovery of ancient ruins containing incredibly powerful magical technology ignites conflict between these nations. Following a devastating war, a tense peace prevails, but the threat of renewed conflict remains ever-present.
Enter Eldia, a global task force at the heart of Eldgear's narrative. Their mission: to prevent these ancient weapons and machines from reigniting all-out war. They meticulously research, monitor, and control access to the ruins, striving to maintain stability.
Gameplay Mechanics
Eldgear's turn-based combat system offers strategic depth despite its straightforward presentation. The core mechanics, however, add layers of complexity. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows you to equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. These can range from stat boosts to tactical abilities like Stealth, enabling espionage or bodyguard functions.
The EXA (Expanding Abilities) system unlocks when your Tension meter reaches maximum during battles, unleashing devastating, overpowered moves. Adding to the intrigue are the GEAR machines, enigmatic and powerful entities, some acting as guardians, others as formidable adversaries.
