"How to Level Up Sinners in Limbus Company"

In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners are crucial in determining their combat strength. Like many RPGs, advancing in the game and tackling challenging content requires you to level up your team. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against higher-level enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers to the game, here's a concise guide on how to efficiently gain XP for your characters.

With games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness on the horizon, there's a growing desire for stylish anime games that aren't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy the gacha craving, a triple-A experience similar to these, but free from RNG monetization, would be a refreshing addition to the genre.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method to earn XP is through combat. Every Sinner on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a battle, regardless of participation, though those who fought earn more. However, this method can be slow, especially as battles become tougher. You'll need to find more efficient ways to level up as you progress.

Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While the fights provide a decent amount of XP, the real value comes from the consumable items you can obtain, which are essential for leveling up.

Using Consumable Items

If you're looking to avoid the grind, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These consumables are designed specifically for leveling up your Sinners' Identities and come in different rarities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a fixed amount of XP to an Identity. They're similar to level-up materials found in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They significantly reduce the time needed to level up, but you'll need a substantial number of them to max out a character. They are available in four tiers, each offering more XP:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

These tickets can be farmed from the EXP Luxcavation stages and are also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are highly valuable due to their ability to shortcut the leveling process, but they are also much rarer. They are primarily obtained through the Limbus Pass and occasionally during attendance check events, and cannot be farmed. The different levels they boost to are:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

Currently, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. Strategically using both Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets can help you level up multiple characters efficiently.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
