Captain America: Brave New World, clocking in at a concise 1 hour and 58 minutes, earns its place as one of the shortest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the shortest Captain America installment to date. This runtime places it among the seven shortest MCU films out of a total of 35. In contrast, the previous three Captain America films all exceeded two hours.
While many of the shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, several more recent exceptions exist. The shortest MCU film is 2022's The Marvels at 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man. Brave New World shares its runtime with Ant-Man and The Wasp. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Avengers: Endgame holds the record as the longest MCU film at 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, this film marks the first Captain America movie post-Chris Evans' Steve Rogers' retirement. Mackie has described the film as a grounded espionage thriller, upholding the legacy of the Captain America series.
