Mask Around: The Sequel to Mask Up – More Guns, More Goo!

Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time, the gooey protagonist gets a significant upgrade: combining run-and-gun action with the original's signature brawling mechanics.

Remember the bizarre, yellow ooze from the first game? It's back, and it's not alone! Expect some unusual twists on the established formula.

While the original Mask Up focused primarily on 2D brawling, Mask Around introduces 2D shooting elements. Players can seamlessly switch between shooting and melee combat, adding a new layer of strategy to the gameplay.

However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource. Players must carefully manage their goo supply, especially during challenging boss fights.

A Refined Experience

Mask Around represents a clear evolution from its predecessor. While retaining the core gameplay loop, it significantly expands upon it. The strategic use of the ooze is more crucial than ever, balanced by the addition of ranged weapons for those times when the goo runs dry. The visuals have also received a noticeable polish.

Currently, Mask Around is available on Android. An iOS release is yet to be announced. Even without having played the original, the sequel appears to be a substantial improvement, offering a more refined and engaging experience.
