Monster Hunter Rise: Switch Palico Language

Nothing's scarier than your house cat suddenly speaking fluent human, right? Thankfully, in Monster Hunter Wilds, you control your Palico's language. Here's how to change it:

There are two ways to adjust your Palico's communication style: through the game settings or the character creator.

Method 1: Game Settings

  1. Open the in-game menu by pressing the Options button.
  2. Navigate to "Game Settings," then select the "Audio" tab.
  3. Find the "Palico Language" option.
  4. Choose either "Felyne Language" (meows and purrs with subtitles) or "Set Voice Type" (your game's language).

Method 2: Character Creator

  1. Access your tent and open the character creator menu.
  2. While customizing your Palico's appearance, you can also select its language preference. You can also adjust its voice pitch and tone here.

This setting doesn't affect gameplay; choose whichever you prefer. While "Felyne Language" offers a cuter, more immersive experience, constantly reading subtitles might be inconvenient. Using your game's language is more practical, especially during battles. The choice is entirely yours!

That's how to change your Palico's language in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more game tips and guides, check out The Escapist!
