Why are White Stellar Amulets So Valuable in Path of Exile 2?
Normal-rarity Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key ingredients in crafting the highly sought-after 
Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an 
Orb of Chance.
Astramentis boasts exceptional power due to its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the 
Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another top-tier Unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.
Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can be used to create Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets are unsuitable. This exclusivity explains their superior value compared to their enhanced counterparts.
Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma
The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are exceptionally low. Even using many amulets (e.g., 100) doesn't guarantee success. While luck plays a role, the probability of success is minimal.
The choice of selling versus gambling is a personal one. Selling a White Stellar Amulet yields 10-30 Exalted Orbs (market dependent), offering a guaranteed return. Attempting to craft Astramentis is a high-risk, high-reward gamble, requiring careful consideration of your risk tolerance.
Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2
To attempt the gamble, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
- Astramentis (the desired outcome)
Fixation of Yix (a less desirable alternative)
Fixation of Yix is the more likely successful outcome, making Astramentis a truly rare prize. Remember, failure results in the amulet's destruction.
