Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: A PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Exclusive
The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign, a cooperative Soulsborne experience announced at The Game Awards 2024, will hold its initial network test in February 2025. Registration opens January 10th, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players.
This limited beta, with a yet-undisclosed number of participant slots, marks the first opportunity for players to experience the three-player co-op gameplay. While the final game targets PS4, Xbox One, and PC alongside the current generation consoles, this initial test will only encompass the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform play will be available, limiting interaction to players on the same console family.
How to Register:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
- Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await a confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025).
- Participate in the test during February 2025.
Key Limitations:
- Platform Exclusivity: The beta is limited to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
- No Cross-Play: Multiplayer is restricted to players on the same console.
- No Progress Carryover: Progress made during the beta likely won't transfer to the full game.
- Party Size: The game will only support solo or three-player parties.
While further betas remain a possibility, FromSoftware hasn't confirmed any additional testing phases. Specific dates for the February test will be revealed in the coming weeks.
