PoE 2 Ingenuity Utility Belt: In-Depth Guide

by Ava Feb 11,2025

This guide details how to obtain the Ingenuity Utility Belt, a unique and powerful item in Path of Exile 2. This belt is crucial for many late-game builds.

How to Get the Ingenuity Utility Belt

The Ingenuity Utility Belt is exclusively dropped by the King in the Mists, a challenging endgame Ritual boss. To fight him, you'll need "An Audience With the King," an item used on the Atlas Realmgate. Defeating the King in the Mists isn't guaranteed to yield the belt; it's one of five possible unique drops, with an approximate drop rate of one in five attempts. The King's difficulty scales, increasing the drop chance at higher tiers.

Other possible drops from the King in the Mists include:

  1. The Burden of Shadows Chiming Staff
  2. Beetlebite Beetlebite
  3. From Nothing From Nothing
  4. Pragmatism Pragmatism

Alternatively, you can purchase the Ingenuity Utility Belt from the PoE 2 trade site. Expect to pay 15-50 Divine Orbs, depending on the item's rolls.

Obtaining "An Audience With the King"

There are two ways to get "An Audience With the King":

  • Trade Site: Purchase it for approximately 4-7 Divine Orbs.
  • Ritual Maps: It has a low chance of appearing as a Ritual favor. These favors are expensive (2700-3900 Tribute). If you can't afford it immediately, defer the favor; it should reappear within 1-4 Ritual maps.

If you obtain "An Audience With the King" but aren't ready for the King in the Mists fight, consider selling it or seeking a carry.

Can Orb of Chance get the Ingenuity Utility Belt?

No. The Ingenuity Utility Belt is not part of the regular loot pool and cannot be obtained using Orbs of Chance.

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of acquiring the Ingenuity Utility Belt. Remember that obtaining this item requires significant endgame progress and potentially substantial investment.
