Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three global cities across June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person attendees can expect unique experiences within each host city, including special merchandise and community hubs. Two More Pokémon GO Events in January
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over
This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Key features include:
- Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
- Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai (hatchable from 12 km Eggs).
- Increased appearances of Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
- Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots.
Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh
Taking place on January 19th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), this event allows trainers to capture Shadow Ho-Oh in five-star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket grants:
- Eight additional Raid Passes.
- Increased chance of Rare Candy XL.
- 2x Stardust.
- 50% XP bonus from Raid Battles.
- Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
- Opportunity to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire (using a Charged TM).
