Potato Hunt Game Now on Android

by Ryan Mar 13,2025

Where's Potato? is a new entry in the increasingly popular prop hunt genre. Players take turns being either a potato, cleverly disguised within a cluttered environment, or one of the seekers tasked with finding it. The goal for the potato is to evade capture; for the seekers, it's to locate and "burn" the potato.

The game's visuals aren't groundbreaking, presenting a straightforward 3D environment—a typical suburban home—where the potato hides. However, the potato isn't entirely helpless; by consuming chili peppers, it gains the ability to attack and burn seekers. Eliminating three seekers secures victory for the potato.

While not a revolutionary design, Where's Potato? is a commendable effort, especially considering it's a solo project from a relatively new developer. Its potential for wider appeal, however, might be limited.

The prop hunt genre thrives on social platforms like Minecraft or as a game mode within larger titles. Where's Potato?'s success as a standalone mobile game remains to be seen.

Despite this, the game's successful implementation of functional multiplayer is a significant achievement, even for more experienced developers. We'll be keeping an eye on gamesbynav's future projects.
