by Zoe Jan 27,2025

Bart Bonte's latest brain teaser, simply titled "Purple," is now available on Google Play and the App Store. This microgame collection, part of a color-themed series, offers over 50 uniquely challenging levels.

Following the pattern of Yellow, Red, Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Orange, Purple maintains the series' signature short, self-contained puzzles. Expect a rapid-fire experience with diverse challenges, ranging from simple pattern recognition to quick mazes. The trailer showcases a few examples of the gameplay's diverse puzzles.

The game's aesthetic is undeniably pleasing, with a consistent purple palette and an original soundtrack. This visual and auditory appeal adds to the overall engaging experience. The design hints at Art Nouveau influences.

While the concept might seem simplistic, the satisfyingly short puzzles, combined with the pleasant soundtrack and appealing visuals, create a compelling and addictive experience. Whether Purple will garner awards like Bonte's previous creations remains to be seen.
