The PXN P5: A Universal Controller for All Your Gaming Needs?

PXN has launched the P5, a universal controller promising compatibility across a wide range of devices. From consoles and PCs to cars (yes, really!), the P5 boasts advanced features like Dual Hall-effect magnetic joysticks and adjustable trigger sensitivity. But does this ambitious controller truly deliver?

Mobile gaming often feels underserved in the controller market. While snap-on controllers exist, true cross-compatibility innovation remains scarce, usually limited to Bluetooth. The PXN P5 aims to change that, claiming compatibility with a vast array of platforms.

The P5 is marketed as a versatile controller for PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, Android TV, and even Tesla vehicles! Its advanced features include the aforementioned Dual Hall-effect magnetic joysticks (the technical details of which are beyond the scope of this review) and customizable trigger sensitivity for personalized gameplay.

The P5 will retail for £29.99 and be available through PXN and Amazon.

Universal Appeal?

PXN is a relatively unknown brand in some markets. However, the market for cross-compatible mobile controllers is competitive, even if dedicated smartphone controllers often fall short. The P5's extensive compatibility is welcome, though its Tesla compatibility is certainly unique. Perhaps a niche market exists for in-car gaming enthusiasts!
