Riot Games still wants its MMO, but it is not even close to the finish

At this year's DICE Summit, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill shared his vision for the future, focusing heavily on an upcoming MMO set within the rich worlds of League of Legends and Arcane. Merrill confessed that this MMO project consumes a significant portion of his time, fueled by his personal passion for the genre and a strong belief that this dedication will be key to its success. He also highlighted the immense desire among League of Legends fans for deeper immersion within their beloved universe.

While details remain scarce, including any potential release date, Merrill playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing. The feasibility of this prediction remains to be seen.

It's important to note that another League of Legends-universe game is in the works: 2XKO, a fighting game eagerly anticipated by fans for years. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO boasts trailers and a projected release window—before the year's end.
