Slothwerks, the indie studio behind the beloved Meteorfall series, has unveiled their newest card battler. Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble is now available for pre-registration on Android, marking the third installment following Meteorfall (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit's Tale (2019), with an official launch scheduled for next month.
Gameplay and Setting
This roguelike deckbuilder delivers fast-paced matches where victory comes from creative rule-breaking rather than conventional play. Players command a squad of three heroes selected from eight unique characters, each wielding their own specialized deck.
With over 200 cards available, players can modify their decks during runs through layered upgrades. The game introduces Wild Cards that disrupt standard combat mechanics, while in-battle achievements unlock powerful buffs.
Between matches, players navigate the quirky hub of Bramble Town, facing strategic decisions about deck upgrades, team training, or simply exploring the eccentric world.
Rebranding and Pre-Launch Details
Originally titled Bramble Royale, the developers recently renamed it Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble to better reflect its connection to the series and avoid battle royale misconceptions.
The strategic rebranding helps immediate recognition of the game's signature humorous and unconventional style. A gameplay preview is available below.
Fans can now pre-register on the Google Play Store ahead of the June 25, 2025 launch, with the premium title priced at $6.99 USD.
