Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but obtaining them requires completing specific Pokédex entries. This guide details how to acquire these Shiny Pokémon.
Unlocking Shiny Keldeo:
To receive Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Home. This includes Pokémon from Pokémon Sword & Shield, along with those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, these Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball icon above their stats) indicating they originated from the Sword & Shield games or their DLCs. Simply completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield itself is insufficient. Once the Galar Pokédex is complete, claim Shiny Keldeo via the "Mystery Gift" option (accessible through the three-line menu). There's no time limit for claiming it.
Unlocking Shiny Meltan:
Similarly, obtaining Shiny Meltan requires completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon possessing the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats). These Pokémon must originate from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. After completing the Kanto Pokédex, claim Shiny Meltan through the "Mystery Gift" option. This reward also has no deadline.
Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues:
If your Pokémon Home Pokédex isn't registering Pokémon correctly (a common issue on mobile), try clearing the app's cache. Access the menu (three-line icon), select "Clear Cache," and confirm. This usually resolves registration problems.
With Shiny Keldeo and Meltan secured, you can transfer them to other compatible Pokémon games linked to your Pokémon Home account.
