The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The broadcast showcased exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.

The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses various bugs, boasts a revamped main menu, and includes performance optimizations. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a makeover. These updated homes are immediately available for new game starts, while existing save files can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th. A significant update will introduce over 70 new free items! Simultaneously, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will launch. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing a series of simple challenges.

Furthermore, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Specific details regarding the content of this season are yet to be revealed.
