"Solo Leveling Season 1 Gets Limited Edition Blu-ray with Special Features"

by Savannah May 02,2025

The anime series *Solo Leveling* has surged to new heights, eclipsing even the legendary *One Piece* in terms of reviews on Crunchyroll and securing an impressive 13 nominations for the 2025 Anime Awards. Almost a year since its debut, Crunchyroll has announced a significant physical release for fans in North America. Available for preorder, *Solo Leveling Season 1* is set to hit shelves on July 22 in both a standard and a limited edition Blu-ray format.

Both versions of the Blu-ray contain all 12 episodes from the first season, alongside a variety of special features. However, the limited edition steelbook goes a step further by including exclusive *Solo Leveling* merchandise. Priced at nearly $30 more than its standard counterpart, the limited edition is currently offered at a competitive price thanks to a 25% discount at the Crunchyroll Store, bringing its cost in line with the standard version.

*Solo Leveling* follows the epic journey of Sung Jinwoo, who is chosen by a mysterious "System" to become its sole player, propelling him through a riveting power-scaling adventure. The first season, which aired in early 2024, adapts roughly 45 chapters of the original manhwa over its 12 episodes. Following its success, a second season concluded in March, further boosting the anime's popularity.

Amazon lists the limited edition Blu-ray at its full price of $90, but Crunchyroll Store provides a 25% discount, lowering the price to $67.49, which is even less than the standard version available on Amazon for $69.99. Both editions are scheduled to ship on July 22.
