Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles Adds Playable Jar Jar Binks and More!
Aspyr has unveiled a surprising playable character for the upcoming re-release of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles on modern consoles: Jar Jar Binks! A new trailer shows the Gungan in action, wielding a large staff. This isn't the only new addition; Aspyr has revealed nine other new playable characters, with more to come.
The 2000 original Jedi Power Battles featured characters and locations from Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. This updated version aims to recapture that nostalgia while adding new content. Alongside features like customizable lightsaber colors and cheat code support, a roster expansion is a key highlight. Jar Jar Binks is the latest character to join this expanded lineup.
A recent trailer showcased Jar Jar's gameplay, showing him battling enemies with his staff. While some fans may have envisioned a "Darth Jar Jar" scenario, the character's gameplay remains true to his comical nature, complete with signature voice lines.
