Texas Chainsaw Legacy

Sumo Digital has released a significant update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre on June 25th, 2024, focusing on character skill tree adjustments and bug fixes. This update enhances the gameplay experience across various aspects, including UI, visuals, and character abilities.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Digital's asymmetrical horror game inspired by the 1974 film, pits the Slaughter family against their victims in a thrilling 3v4 multiplayer setting. The game's immersive atmosphere and faithful recreation of the film's chilling essence have garnered positive critical reception.

The June 25th update introduces the Hitchhiker's Claymore outfit, a cosmetic addition available for $2.99 USD. Beyond cosmetics, the update addresses several critical issues:

  • Improved Lobby Cooldown: The penalty for leaving lobbies has been refined for smoother matchmaking.

  • Hands Character Adjustments: Significant changes have been made to Hands, the game's newest killer. An exploit allowing excessive stamina usage via his Ability Tree has been patched, and issues with his "Reduce Defensive Barge Stamina Cost" upgrades have been resolved. The "Rip Stalled" perk now functions as intended.

  • Skill Tree Fixes: Problems preventing Cook and Julie from reaching level 10 in their respective skill trees have been fixed by adding attribute points. Incorrect node connections across multiple skill trees have also been corrected.

  • UI and Visual Improvements: A UI bug incorrectly displaying removed perks has been fixed, and issues with Maria's hair textures and model visibility have been addressed.

The complete patch notes detail these fixes and more:
