Big Time Sports brings microgame athletics to mobile, out now on iOS

by Ellie Mar 15,2025

Big Time Sports, a new mobile release from Frost Pop, offers a minimalist approach to sports gaming. This Track & Field-inspired title features a series of microgames, each themed around a different sport like bicycling or weightlifting.

The gameplay is deceptively simple. Using straightforward controls, players perform repetitive actions to succeed in each microgame. Think holding and releasing your finger to pitch and swing in baseball, or timing your release while high diving. Despite its simplicity, this stripped-down approach to sports simulation is surprisingly engaging, reminiscent of the addictive nature of classic Track & Field games.

The game’s charm lies in its simplicity. While not designed for endless replayability, Big Time Sports provides a visually appealing and accessible take on a niche genre. Its casual nature makes it a fun, quick pick-up-and-play experience.

ytI'm on my way I'm making it

Interestingly, Big Time Sports offers a stark contrast to Frost Pop's other recent release, I Am Your Beast by Strange Scaffold. Where I Am Your Beast delivers intense, hardcore gameplay, Big Time Sports provides relaxed, casual fun.

While not a game for long-term commitment, Big Time Sports is a well-executed, visually pleasing title. For sports fans seeking a quick and enjoyable experience, it's worth checking out. And for those who enjoy anime sports series, a new mobile volleyball simulator based on Haikyu!! is launching worldwide soon!
