Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are making their debut in WoW China, starting January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.

These new additions celebrate the renewed partnership between NetEase and Blizzard, marking WoW's successful return to the Chinese market. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, boasts auspicious clouds within its wings during flight, a nod to Chinese symbolism. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded version of its predecessor, features a black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic quote: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."

Acquisition methods differ: the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is earned through a "Treasure Workshop" event (details pending), while the Golden Ashes of Al'ar is obtained from Landro's Loot Box (¥200, approximately $27). This loot box offers a chance at various prizes, including other rare mounts like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.

While currently exclusive to China, the possibility of an international release remains open. For now, players outside China can only appreciate these visually striking mounts from afar.
