Wicked Genshin Impact bug allows you to deal terrible, terrible damage to bosses

Genshin Impact players eagerly awaiting the 5.4 update in a week can currently exploit a surprising tactic to effortlessly defeat even the toughest bosses. Ironically, this exploit centers around the Hydro Traveler, a character often deemed one of the game's weakest DPS options.

The exploit's mechanics are surprisingly straightforward. Using the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst in conjunction with Xiao Lanterns (obtained during the Lantern Rite Festival) is the key. By strategically placing a large number of Xiao Lanterns near a boss and then activating the Elemental Burst, players can dramatically reduce the boss's health.

This occurs because the Elemental Burst's AoE damage is significantly amplified when interacting with objects. With a sufficient number of lanterns (reports suggest hundreds), damage output can reach millions, effectively trivializing boss encounters.

While this exploit is likely to be patched in a future update, it currently presents an opportunity for players to easily overcome challenging boss fights.
