Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 Tier List: December 24, 2024 Update

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergistic potential. This tier list ranks all ZZZ 1.0 characters, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content. Grace, for example, while initially dominant, has become less relevant with the introduction of powerful new Anomaly units like the overpowered Miyabi.

Quick Links

S-Tier

S-Tier characters excel in their roles, consistently performing well and synergizing effectively within teams.

Miyabi

Miyabi's swift Frost attacks and immense damage output make her a top contender. While requiring strategic play, her potent abilities decimate enemies.

Jane Doe

A superior version of Piper, Jane Doe's critical hit potential on Assault Anomalies delivers significantly higher damage. Despite the inherent slowness of Anomaly-focused DPS, her power secures her an S-rank alongside Zhu Yuan and Ellen.

Yanagi

Yanagi specializes in triggering Disorder, activating the effect without needing Shock. This makes her an ideal partner for Miyabi.

Zhu Yuan

Zhu Yuan is a high-DPS character with rapid-fire Shotshells. She pairs well with Stun and Support characters; in version 1.1, Qingyi and Nicole are particularly effective teammates.

Caesar

Caesar redefines the Defense Agent role. She offers exceptional protection, significant buffs and debuffs, Impact scaling for easy stuns, and crowd control capabilities.

Qingyi

A versatile Stunner, Qingyi fits into any team with an Attack Agent. Her fluid movements and rapid Daze buildup, coupled with a substantial DMG multiplier on stunned enemies, make her a valuable asset.

Lighter

Lighter's kit provides notable buffs, synergizing best with Fire and Ice characters. His effectiveness is amplified by the strength of these attribute units.

Lycaon

Lycaon, an Ice Stunner, relies on charged attacks to apply Ice and Daze, enhancing Anomaly reactions. His ability to reduce Ice resistance and boost Daze DMG makes him crucial for Ice teams.

Ellen

Ellen's Ice-based attacks synergize exceptionally with Lycaon and Soukaku. After Lycaon's stuns and Soukaku's buffs, Ellen unleashes devastating damage.

Harumasa

A free-to-play S-Rank Electric Attack character, Harumasa requires specific setup to maximize his damage potential.

Soukaku

Soukaku provides Ice Anomaly buildup and buffs, significantly enhancing Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon.

Rina

Rina delivers substantial damage while granting PEN (defense ignore) to allies. Her high damage output and Shock Anomaly buildup make her valuable to Electric characters.

A-Tier

A-Tier characters are strong within specific team compositions and excel in their roles, though others may outperform them in certain scenarios.

Nicole

Nicole is an Ether Support, pulling enemies into energy fields and boosting Ether DMG while shredding enemy DEF. Her effectiveness is primarily limited to Ether DPS units.

Seth

Seth functions as a shield and support, but not as effectively as top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar. His niche application to Anomaly DPS contrasts with the broader utility of ATK buffers.

Lucy

Lucy provides off-field DMG and an ATK% buff, with increased DPS through synergy with other characters.

Piper

Piper's EX Special Attack is highly effective, particularly when paired with other Anomaly units to consistently trigger Disorder.

Grace

Grace's ability to quickly apply Shock and trigger continuous DMG is still valuable in Anomaly teams, though less dominant than previously.

Koleda

Koleda is a reliable Fire/Stun character, particularly effective in teams with other Fire units. Her synergy with Ben adds to her appeal.

Anby

Anby is a reliable Stun unit, but her susceptibility to interruption prevents her from reaching higher tiers.

Soldier 11

Soldier 11 deals high damage with straightforward mechanics, but lacks the complexity and synergy of higher-tier characters.

B-Tier

B-Tier characters offer some utility, but are outperformed by others in most situations.

Ben

Ben's defensive capabilities and synergy with Koleda are overshadowed by his slow speed and limited team benefits.

Nekomata

Nekomata's AoE damage potential is hampered by a lack of supportive teammates in the current meta.

C-Tier

C-Tier characters currently offer limited value compared to other options.

Corin

Corin's damage output is outclassed by other Physical Attack units like Nekomata and Piper.

Billy

Billy's damage is insufficient to compete with other DPS characters.

Anton

Anton's single-target focus and low DPS hinder his overall effectiveness.
