The Tawakkalna Emergency app serves as the official platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for managing emergency situations and enhancing community protection. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), this app has been instrumental in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
Initially launched to streamline relief efforts, Tawakkalna facilitated the electronic issuance of permits during the Curfew Period. These permits were essential for both government and private-sector employees, as well as individuals, enabling them to move safely while helping to control the spread of the virus.
As the situation evolved into the "Return with Caution" phase, the app introduced additional services aimed at ensuring a secure return to normalcy. A key feature was the introduction of a health status indicator using color-coded systems, which provided users with secure and private updates on their health status.
