Wingspan Asia Expansion Brings New Birds and Duet Mode to Digital Platforms

Mark your calendars for June 16th when Wingspan: Asia Expansion launches across iOS, Android, PC, Switch and consoles. First announced in February, this highly anticipated third expansion from Monster Couch introduces an all-new region to the acclaimed strategy game, complete with innovative gameplay mechanics and a vibrant celebration of Asian biodiversity.

Key Features of the Asia Expansion

The highlight of this update is undoubtedly Duet Mode, a fresh take on two-player competition. Gamers will compete on a special Duet Map, strategically placing tokens to claim habitats while pursuing unique round objectives. This mode encourages more dynamic interaction and requires careful planning to outmaneuver your opponent.

The expansion introduces 90+ new Asian birds, each with distinctive abilities and scoring opportunities. These beautifully rendered creatures come with fascinating ecological facts and regional characteristics. Players will also discover 13 fresh bonus cards - including two specifically designed for solo play against Automa AI.

Visually, the Asia Expansion maintains Wingspan's signature tranquil aesthetic. The update includes four new regional backgrounds, eight additional player avatars, and four original atmospheric compositions by award-winning composer Pawel Górniak, transporting players to breathtaking Asian landscapes.

This expansion seamlessly integrates with all existing Wingspan content. The complete update will be priced at $11.99 upon its June 16th release. The base game is available now through the links below, with more details on the official Steam page.
