Escape Deep Dungeon: Survive Starvation in Dungeon Hiker

by Lucas May 25,2025

Ever since the days of Ultima Underworld, the humble dungeon has transformed from the typical setting for a tabletop RPG into a vast and sprawling, cavernous world brimming with mystery and adventure. It's no wonder, then, that we continue to see releases like the upcoming Dungeon Hiker, which promises to let players relive that same thrilling experience.

The concept behind Dungeon Hiker is straightforward yet engaging: you find yourself trapped inside a mysterious dungeon and must navigate your way out. Between you and freedom lie tunnels, monsters, traps, and other obstacles that you need to overcome. As you explore, you'll uncover branching paths and multiple endings, all woven into a deep (pun intended) narrative.

But it's not just physical barriers you need to worry about. In addition to keeping track of your HP, you'll also need to manage your hunger, thirst, and fatigue levels. Being trapped deep underground means that food and water are scarce, adding an extra layer of survival strategy to the game.

Employing a card battler format, players will need to collect materials to craft new skill cards and equipment, essential for battling the monsters that infest the dungeon.

Dungeon Hiker comes to us from developer Nekosuko, which has an intriguing premise on its hands. While Nekosuko's previous releases have leaned towards the budget end of the spectrum, with Dungeon Hiker set to release on July 20th, there's hope that they will deliver a polished game that fully leverages this exciting setting and concept.

In the meantime, if you're craving more dungeon adventures, why not explore our list of the top 25 best RPGs on iOS and Android? These games delve into the depths of dungeons in both hardcore and casual ways, offering plenty of underground excitement.
