Every Weapon Unique in Monster Hunter Wilds

by Nova Feb 21,2025

Concerns about weapon design similarity in Monster Hunter: World prompted questions regarding Monster Hunter Wilds. While initial glimpses of Wilds' weapons offered limited insight, Director Yuya Tokuda has clarified the design philosophy.

Tokuda stated that unlike Monster Hunter: World, where weapon designs largely maintained a base form with variations based on monster materials, Wilds features uniquely designed weapons. This directly addresses concerns about repetitive designs. While some World weapons evolved into unique forms through upgrades, many remained visually similar. The image below illustrates this, showcasing the striking resemblance between certain upgraded weapons.
